I go to work by bus every morning. As I"m waiting at the bus stop, a young guy usually approaches me and hands me in the latest issue of our local newspaper. The paper is free and it"s usually quite interesting. There are some advertisements placed by local car dealers, xomapnies that offer Payday loans, people looking for jobs and their potential employees. There is even a ‘lost and found" column where you can find ads placed by people who have just found a wallet, a bag or a mobile phone and are honest enough to give it back to the owner. You can always find some local news in the newspaper. It"s easy to find out what has just happened in the area. If you are interested in cultural events, you will certainly find information on upcoming events such as concerts, art exhibitions or fairs. There is also a column for children in our local newspaper. They can send their poems and short stories that are later published in the paper. As I"m sitting on the bus on a hot morning, I usually read the advertisement column. At the moment, I want to contact some companies that offer payday loans. My husband and I need some cash but we don"t want to ask our friends for help. I guess our local newspaper is one of the best sources on information on such companies.
